Why Sown in Grace?

A name that started as a prayer

Sown in Grace Studios began at our kitchen table, with a few candles, a camera, and a sense that the things we made could mean something to someone.

The name comes from an idea we keep returning to: some things grow because they're forced, and some grow because they're tended. We want to do the second kind of work — plant intentionally, nurture carefully, and let things grow through grace.

Our mission is simple: to make beautiful, meaningful things with integrity, and to serve the people who bring them home.

Meet Shawn

Shawn

Photographer, writer, and the one who builds things — from oak signs to the software behind the studio.

Shawn has always been the kind of person who wants to know how things work. That curiosity led him through a career in technology, a camera that rarely leaves his side, and eventually a workshop in the garage that keeps getting bigger.

In the studio, he leads photography, woodwork, writing and the digital side of the business. His favorite part is the quiet: early-morning light, a fresh piece of oak, a blank page.

Meet Tara

Tara

Maker, designer, and the heart behind every hand-poured candle and personalized keepsake.

Tara has been making things with her hands since she was small — sewing, painting, arranging whatever grew in the yard. She has a gift for noticing what makes something feel personal.

She leads product design, custom creations, and the many small details that make a Sown in Grace piece feel cared for: the wrapping, the handwritten note, the color that's exactly right.
